It has been nearly a month since I last posted so I’m really sorry I’ve been away from my blog. I had lost my momentum with my blog but now I’m back with a haul and a nice little giveaway too!
Within a couple of weeks of 2016 I had already decided I needed new make up and so off I went shopping online and in Covent Garden and have a nice little stash to show you!
First off is my MAC haul. I love wandering around in MAC to find more lipsticks but I never tend to visit the other sections like eyeshadows, blushes or foundations. I really wanted the highlighter in Soft & Gentle but unfortunately it’s never in stock! I did pick up this MAC Mineralize Blush in Gleeful £22 which is right up my ally at being a dusty rose shade which looks great on mid to darker skin tones. On first application I can tell his product is going to last forever! A little goes a long way and you definitely need to use this sparingly as the colour pay off is great which helps as it’s definitely not a cheap item.
My next stop off was KIKO and I shamefully bought so many items! There was a fair bit on sale so I couldn’t resist. I have lost my receipt so I will link and price as much as I can but some of the items were limited edition collections. I bought a new lip liners including the Invisible Lip Liner £5.90 and Shades 3, 4, 5 of the Intensely Lavish Lip liners, as I wanted a red, nude and pink liner as well. I also picked up some liquid eyeliners as I have been loving the L’oreal Superliner. I bought shade 2 (Purple) and 4 (Black) of the Liquid Intense Eyeliner £3.40. I was trying to find a highlighter after I couldn’t find it in MAC but the consultants at KIKO told me there weren’t really any highlighters in their main collections but recommended some eyeshadows that work in place of this. I picked up a very gold shade and a slight pinkish one and both look beautiful on. The first (on the left swatch) is the Metallic Shine Eyeshadow in 01 £3.40 and the gold shadow is the Long Lasting Wet & Dry Use Eyeshadow in 208 Light Gold £8.90. Last is my favourite item of my KIKO Haul the Gossamer Emotion Creamy Lipstick in 108 Mauve £10.90. The packaging is beautiful in this metallic bullet style. The opening is pretty cool too! You have to click the top and pull from the bottom like the Chanel Lipsticks. And of course the lipstick shade is lovely (very work appropriate colour) and is definitely creamy as it says on the tin!
Lastly was also an online haul! I haven’t bought anything from Beauty Bay before but I know it holds some brands that are harder to find in the UK like the Anastasia Beverly Hills collection and Makeup Geek which I have been waiting and waiting for to come to the UK as I love Marlene’s youtube Videos! I bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown £15.50 to give my a more natural look day to day as the NYX Pomade whilst I love it is a bit bold for everyday and I have to say I am really impressed with it! I also of course had to order some of Makeup Geeks Eyeshadows and so I bought the shades in Foiled eyeshadow Flame Thrower £7.95, Foiled Eyeshadow Magic Act £7.95 and Duochrome Eyeshadow Karma £4.95. As these shadows are singles I decided to invest in a small Z Palette £8.95 so that I can store these in and add some more to the collection to make my own bespoke palette. This palette is a good size, small and fits about 9 round shadows and comes with some magnetic stickers as well if your shadows are not magnetic. And of course I was browsing through the Zoeva page trying to find some brushes but instead I stumbled on their eyeshadow palettes and looking at the amazing reviews I definitely had to buy one. So I bought the Zoeva Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette £15.50. Some of the reviews state that the shadows are better than the Urban Decay Naked Palette at half the cost so I definitely can’t wait to play with this palette.
