I’ve only tried a couple of products from the Liz Earle range such as the No. 20 Botanical Essence £49 and the Superskin Face Serum £49 but of course I have heard over and over about their famous Cleanse & Polish. I stumbled across this cute Liz Earle Try Me Kit for Oily/Combination skin £26 and thought this would be a perfect way to try more items in the range.
I have to say I am really loving the moisturizer, it’s light and non greasy but still hydrates my skin. I love it so much so that I bought the full size to save my mini for travelling. (tip – if your skin is really suffering this winter, add a drop or two of the Kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate with the moisturizer. It doesn’t make the skin greasy and any dry skin disappears quickly. I’ve been doing this daily and love the combo)
The toner is okay, I wouldn’t say I love it but it’s nice and gentle and works for my skin. Again this is probably something I will save for travelling as I have plenty of toners in my beauty stash.
With the Cleanse & Polish again I was blown away at the results. I can’t believe how easy it is to use! I did find the muslin cloth a bit scratchy against my skin.. does anyone else get this too? So I switched out to a face towel and I am amazed at how clean my skin looks and feels and I even feel like some of the redness on my skin has reduced. Completely understand the nations obsession.
The mask is okay similar to the Origins clear improvement mask in terms of the clay but I do prefer my origins one. However this is a good travel sized one for trips.
One thing I definitely had to get used to is the smell. It’s not what I’m used to, I quite like sweet smells but this is definitely very plant like. Takes some getting used to but after a while it’s not noticeable at all.
Overall I’m really glad I picked this up. It has helped introduce me to more of Liz Earle’s offerings and I have found 2 new favourites!
Until next time..
