A few weeks back I made my very first trip to Bicester Village to do a little shopping. I have been wanting to go for the longest time and just decided to take the plunge on a day off. For those who haven’t heard of Bicester Village before, it’s an outlet mall that specifically houses high end designers. I went by train and got off at Bicester North Station which is the closest to Bicester Village if I am correct. From there they have shuttle buses that take you to and from the Village directly. If you have bought a train ticket specifically for Bicester Village your shuttle ride is included but if you have only bought it to Bicester North like myself I had to buy another ticket for the shuttle which was less than £5.
I was really surprised at Bicester Village actually looking like a village! Luckily for me I went quite early (10am on a Thursday) so it was pretty empty and I got a really good look around everywhere. They have every high end designer store you could think of. For the full list you can click here. After a few hours of shopping I of course came back with a few goodies. Not as much as I was hoping for but actually you have to remember whilst the stores are discounted they are still somewhat expensive.
First thing I bought are these canvas shoes from Polo Ralph Lauren for £44.99 from £75. I love a white pair of canvases I already own 2 pairs of white converses and never fail to keep buying the same shoe over and over again. These are super comfy and quite a nice casual but classy shoe to wear.
The second was a birthday present for a friend, the Kate Spade Passport Cover in black £33. This was such a great bargain and I was happy to find something this special for my friend at a reasonable cost. It’s quite beautiful and I was definitely tempted to get one for myself!
When I saw there was The Cosmetics Company Store of course I paid a visit. It’s clearly owned by Estee Lauder Companies as they had Clinique, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Smashbox, Estee Lauder etc stocked. All of it was discounted which was great I was really having trouble choosing what I wanted. The MAC lipsticks were my first stop but unfortunately I wasn’t loving the range. They did however have some limited edition collections which I wasn’t expecting to be in stock so it’s definitely worth a browse. I did of course buy a couple of things one being the Smashbox Full Exposure Waterproof Mascara £13.75 which isn’t too bad of a mascara. I also bought the Origins High Potency Night-a-mins Night cream £26.25 which I have been wanting for ages and I was so happy to find it at a reduced price. I was hoping to find my Ginzing Moisturizer there but no luck.
The last and my most favourite purchase of the trip has to be my Coach Minetta bag £199. A colleague at work has the red version of this and I have been drooling over it for months and told myself if I ever find it I have to buy it! I walked in and out of the coach store twice looking at this bag before I decided I had to buy it. It is a beautiful bag, very classic but unusual shape and has mountains of space inside. I will do a more detailed post on this soon but I absolutely loveeeeee this bag! And I have classed it as an early birthday present to myself :).
And that’s all. After going to Bicester Village once I can certainly say it won’t be my last trip as it’s quite a nice day out but I will have to remember to go with a larger budget and learn to say yes! ( I talked myself out of buying a lot!).
What exciting things have you bought from Bicester Village?
Until next time..
