Getting Summer Ready with Wilksinson Sword

Wilkinson Sword

Hi all,

So a little while back I attended an event hosted by none other than the godsend that allows us to be hair free and carefree during the summertime, Wilkinson Sword.

The event itself was really well done. It was held in an art gallery and they had put up posters of celebrities known for their legs – a legshibition they called it.

Wilkson sword were showcasing their razors along with a new little tool being released this summer.. The Hydro Silk Bikini £14.99. The Hydro Silk Bikini is a wonder tool, at one end you have your standard razor for all your typical shaving needs but the other end has a trimmer for those bikini areas. This handy tool is also an electric trimmer and is waterproof so you can use it whilst in the shower. It takes a little getting used to (maybe because I normally have the bikini area lasered or waxed) but after I got the hang of it I was so pleased with the results. It has different settings for whatever you prefer. The really good part about the bikini trimmer is that the razor has a safety net and only works whilst you are holding the button so if you did accidentally drop it you don’t have to worry about any cuts in unwanted places. The Hydro Silk Bikini is due to release at Boots this summer and will retail for £14.99.

The Intuition Ultra Moisture Razor £6.99 Is an interesting product to say the least. Having a soap coating around the razor to allow shaving without the need of soap or shaving gel really appeals to me as I don’t have to keep trying to lather my legs before I shave. At first I couldn’t tell if I was even shaving anything as it didn’t feel like the razor was even touching my skin. But when I touched my legs after they were definitely smooth. This product works very well and the soap lathers up slightly on its own and is very moisturizing to my legs as the soap contains shea butter. One thing I will say is go slowly. The lather is extremely slippery and you could slip with it so I would go slow and rinse often so avoid too much lather. It almost feels like conditioner.

The Extreme 3 Extreme Sensitive disposable razors £4.49 came in very handy whilst I was in Amsterdam for a quick shave on my legs. The razor is so light it add no weight to my baggage unlike the Intuition razor which is a little on the heavier side and bulky. With disposables I don’t expect much from them but I was so impressed at how moisturized by legs felt after using the razor. It is definitely going to be my razor of choice for holidays!

Until next time…
