New! Benefit’s Porefessional License to Blot: Blot on the Spot Stick

Benefit Porefessional Licence to Blot Stick

Hi all!

I love a good Benefit launch don’t you? Benefit are always very innovative with their products not to mention their great names and the cutest packaging in all the land. One of their more recent launches has been an addition to the Pore-Fessional collection the Benefit’s Porefessional License to Blot, Blot on the spot stick £15.50. A mouthful I know!

You have probably heard me rant about my oily t zone before and I am forever looking for products to help keep the shine away during the days. The Porefessional License to Blot claims to keep you shine free for 6 hours leaving a mattying effect on the skin. It can be used before makeup or after as a blotting tool to get rid of any shine and I use it both ways.

Now I’m sure you want to know.. does it work? does it last 6 hours as claimed? Well using the License to Blot as a primer definitely helps with oil control. I swipe it in small strokes across my face specifically the forehead, nose and around my cheeks. The blotting stick is designed to be used easily around the contours of the face. It’s easy around the forehead and cheeks but I still find it a struggle around the nose because it’s not flexible enough for my liking. The texture of the product on my skin feels similar to the original Porefessional but less silicone like and it doesn’t move around when I start putting on my foundation. For me the License to Blot does not last 6 hours. It does give me a shine free or less shine should I say for longer but eventually I am running to the mirror to blot. I would say it gives me around 4 hours with minimal shine coming through. The License to Blot is very easy to use on top of makeup to get rid of any shine. Again small strokes around the forehead and cheeks and as usual around the nose is a bit more difficult and it seems to leave some residue sometimes but easily brushed away.

All in all I do like this product as it does make it easier to blot away the oil rather than using sheets of blotting paper. The oil control is good but not full proof so my hunt continues.

Have you tried Benefit’s Porefessional License to Blot Blot on the Spot stick? What do you think?

Until next time..
