Living in London for most of my life, you think I would have done all the sites right? Madame Tussaud, The London eye, the aquarium and so on… but alas no I haven’t. I am currently on a journey to do as many touristy things as I can in London and really explore the city I live in. When a friend suggested Sky Garden, I thought yes! something to cross off my list.
For those of you who have not been or heard of the Sky Garden, it is an indoor garden at one of the tallest buildings in London – 20 Fenchurch Street also known as the Walkie Talkie building. The garden is enclosed in a dome like feel at the very top of the building where the views are breathtaking from the terrace.
We went over on a Sunday late afternoon when it was unfortunately a very grey and windy day. The views were still spectacular, London always looks its best from high up. It was lovely to roam around and admire the garden and the views and do something quite different for a change.
The Sky Garden is free to go to so long as you book in advance. Click here to book a slot (try go for one around sunset – London looks incredible at night).
Have you been to the Sky Garden before? What did you think?
Until next time
