The Body Shop’s Matte Kajal Liner Review

The Body Shop Matte Kajal Liner

Hi all,

Whilst attending a recent event by The Body Shop to showcase their new Fuji Green Tea collection (I will do a post about this too!) I was introduced to their Matte Kajal Liners £9 in black and white which is going to be part of their new eyeliner range launching on 7th April.

As a teen I was obsessed with pencil eyeliners/kajal liners and using this on my waterline. Now I have really almond shaped eyes and this was actually making them shrink and so I tossed all of them out because I figured the waterline was the only place for them.

A few years on and I’ve learnt so much more about the versatility of kajal liners. The first has got to be the best trick ever which is lining your tight line/the upper eyelid waterline. This instantly makes my lashes look fuller. The other trick I learnt through watching tons of youtube videos is to think outside the box when it comes to your makeup products. Kajal liners make incredible bases for eyeshadow and give you that perfect smoky look when you smudge it out.

The Body Shop Matte Kajal Liner is so easy to draw with because of its creamy texture as it contains Marula Oil. It’s also super pigmented although my picture above may not be doing this justice because it was so bright when I took the photo. Because of how creamy it is, it is an absolute dream to blend out which makes so easy to smoke out your liner for that seamless smoky eye we all try to achieve.

I did also test this out on my waterline to see how long it lasts but my eyes gets so watery it was slipping off the actual waterline but remained at my lash line which continue to stay put and give the illusion of fuller lashes.

I am so pleased with this liner and it will be replacing my black eyeshadow as this is much easier to work with! There is going to be more in the collection including some gel liner pens which I have my eye on for when they release too!

Until next time..
