Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Hi all,

So Benefit Cosmetics had a really cool idea to launch their new mascara the Roller Lash Mascara £19.50 as a sample size in the magazine Elle £4 before it’s available on Benefit’s website on 12th February! Why the ‘Roller’ Lash Mascara you ask? This mascara was designed with hair rollers in mind. Hair rollers give that curl and lasting hold to hair, so what better than getting it for your lashes as well!

Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara has been designed to curl and lift the lashes with the classic curved shaped wand called the ‘Hook and Roll’ brush. The mascara is expected to hold a curl for up to 12 hours. I must say the one thing Benefit does really well is on their packaging and of course the names! Each item is unique in it’s own and really clever like the little ironing board for Puff Off.

For reference my lashes are ridiculously straight, not very long and seem almost sparse.(As you can see from the picture on the left)

On first use, it took a while to get the lashes to lift, so I had to apply a few coats to see the results. Whilst from the side they still look quite straight from head one they have lifted a bit making my eyes look more open (middle picture). My lashes feel quite soft unlike other mascaras where they feel stiff and crispy which is really impressive. I took another photo a few hours later (right picture), my lashes had dropped a little in the middle but stayed curled towards the sides.

Whilst I’m impressed they stayed in a curl for a long time, it didn’t curl my lashes to where I normally like them. I’ve seen other people’s posts and photos and it seems to have done amazingly well for them! So it may just be this isn’t the mascara for me… but I will never stop looking for my perfect mascara!

Have you tried Benefit’s new Roller Lash Mascara? What are your first impressions?

Until next time..
