The Review – The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion

Hi all,

I was browsing in The Body Shop last month and spotted the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion £8. Since I had run out of my usual moisturizer there wasn’t a better time to try something new. While I love my Origins Ginzing Moisturizer, it doesn’t do anything for my blemish prone skin and doesn’t have a matte finish. I have only ever found one face lotion that left the skin looking matte and that is from Clarins so when I saw that The Body Shop had an affordable alternative, I just had to try it out.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and I am so impressed! It really does have a matte finish which it great for me as I have an oily T Zone and helps to tone that afternoon shine down. As it contains tea tree it also helps soothe my skin and help prevent breakouts. Now I didn’t think that this would honestly do anything but 2 weeks on and I am spot free! I always have a couple here or there always and it’s so nice not having any active and angry spots on my face for once! The only downside I have noticed is that my skin has become a bit drier when just using this day and night, so I am switching it out of my nighttime routine and using a night oil instead to combat the dry skin. All in all I am still so pleased with this product with its effectiveness towards spots!

Have you tried The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion? What are your thoughts?

Until next time…

  1. I found the range to be drying too but my skins nore combination to dry. Love origins moisturiser but i dont think it suits oily skin!

  2. Had the whole tea tree range and this was in it too. However, it dried me out so much. Especially around my nose and t-zone. I felt like it was making my spots worse. Even after cutting down how often I was using the range. So I had to throw it out. Only kept the toner which I barely use. And I don’t like the smell. If it’s drying you out even a little bit, be cautious. Because that’s how it starting disrupting my skin slowly xx
