Hi all,

Today I thought I would review  The Bourjois Quad Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palettes* £7.99 which came out in stores in November. I have had them for about a month now and wanted to get some use out of them before I did a review.

I am so impressed with these quads! Firstly they come in 8 different colour palettes which is great so they suit anyone and its great if you are going for a colour theme. Each quad comes in with 4 shadows (hence quad.. haha), the lightest has a primer within it to ensure a longer staying power – incredible.

The quads come with a specialized sponge brush to help create the smoky eye but I prefer using my own brushes with this as its quicker for me. I don’t know about you but I have never got on well with sponge applicators.

My favourite of the 4 quads I own is has to be the Over Rose which is a pink set. I love using the ‘Shadow’ (medium shade) and sweeping this over the lids and off I go. It’s a great everyday shade and if I am planning to go out in the evening I just use the darker shades to create a more smoky look.

With my usual primer and these shadows they are full proof, I rely on my eyeshadows not to crease during the day especially if I am at work. This seriously does the job so well, even when I get home they are still as perfect as when I applied it in the morning. Usually my eyeshadows seem to give up during the day and let oil through or start fading.

I never really think much about using Drugstore eyeshadows but The Bourjois Quad Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palettes* have given me a new outlook!

Have you tried them? I would love to know which quad is your favourite!

Until next time..
