I’m sure this post will come as a shock to a lot of you. This product is raved about pretty much everywhere around the world. And don’t get me wrong there are some amazing qualities about this foundation but I’ll explain why it’s fallen into my disappointing category.
I bought this foundation earlier this year when IMATS was in London because as we all know Make Up For Ever anything is hard to get a hold of in the UK. I wasn’t shade matched correctly (I don’t blame the consultants as it was beyond hectic) and so the foundation was too dark for me. I wasn’t able to use it properly until after I had gone away to Greece later in the year. I thought YES! I am finally tan enough to start using this baby. So with some wedding events coming along I wore it out. On first impressions this foundation was incredible. A little really went a long way and the coverage was amazing. I also took a few photos before I went out and my o my I was so impressed. I thought I had found my holy grail foundation but alas I was mistaken.
Why you ask?
The foundation started oxidizing whilst I was out at the event. I came home to the shock horror of seeing an orange looking back at me in the mirror. Okay it wasn’t that bad but it was definitely orange like. I was in disbelief that this overraved foundation would oxidise as I have never heard of this happening to anyone else. I am absolutely gutted it hasn’t worked for me but from reading other’s reviews it looks like I am one of the few it doesn’t seem to agree with.
Anyone else tried this foundation? If you have had the same issue as me and found a way around please let me know!
Until next time…
