I know TOPSHOP beauty has been out for quite a while now and I have been a bit sceptic to try it as I feel what they do best are clothes, however after reading so many good reviews I was curious to try it out…
The first thing that caught my eye were the Lip Bullet’s in Motel and Wine Gum. These lip bullets are incredibly moisturizing and pigmented. It came in a set of two and I’m happy with both! Usually buying things in sets mean something is disappointing but I can see myself wearing both shades.
Next is the Smokey Eye Palette in Golden Aura. It comes in 4 shades in very nude shades, all shimmery and a dark brown to add some definition. The palette is so slim and cute! I swatched the shades and was a little disappointed at the pigmentation, it’s not as pigmented as I am use to with other palettes like the UD naked palette. But I will try using the shadows wet and see how that goes.
The TOPSHOP Glow is a product I hear about endlessly. It comes in 3 shades and I bought Gleam which is more of a golden/bronze highlight which I think will work well with my medium/dark skin tone. It’s a cream textures which I have started to enjoy more as they look much more natural than powdered products.
The next product I bought has to be the most fascinating one… the Cheek Jelly in Sibling. The name of the product alone drew me in..a Cheek Jelly? I have never used anything like it. The finish is almost like you are using a tinted lipbalm. I love using blushers because without it my skin can look quite unhealthy or flat when you just have foundation on. Powders can look so obvious and so sometimes I like a more subtle flush of colour and this product is perfect for that… I hope!
Topshop nails has become a bit of a craze and I’m not surprised why, they have a HUGE range of polishes and in different textures so I picked up the shade Scream which is a black matte polish and Myth which is a clear polish with glitters running through it in gold and purple which I love wearing together! I have it on my toes at the moment! Not usually a sparkly polish fan but I think it’s something about coming up to Christmas that makes glitter and all things sparkly okay!
On an overall note about the range I have to say I love the packaging. It’s so simple and great neutral colours making it look effortless.
But that’s all for my haul! I probably won’t be doing too much beauty shopping for a while as my Space NK haul and TOPSHOP haul has wiped me out!
